Our Process

Our Process

Virtual Home Visit

One of our ADU experts will conduct a home visit over the phone to better understand exactly what and where we can build. We’ll present you with a detailed project proposal based on the site, and start the process of designing your dream unit.

Site Survey + Design Selection

Our design team will create a thoughtful custom integration of the ADU into your space. We’ll develop a customized site plan, a site-specific scope of work and an overall project proposal, including cost and timeline estimates.

Manufacturing + Site Prep

Permits? Contractors? Paperwork? Don’t worry about a thing. We push through the cumbersome process so you don’t have to. Not only that, but we will do it as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Our team pulls together required documents from over 10+ different parties and goes through a back-and-forth submission process with the city.

  • Once permits are approved, we order the home and begin preparation of your property.

Your pre-built ADU comes to your house directly to be installed on a permanent foundation through our builder partners, and will be turn-key ready for you in no time.

Services we provide

Building an ADU alone requires you to become a project manager over major construction. This means being an expert in regulation and building codes, dealing with contractors, managing a budget – it’s a lot to handle. As a result, very few people can take on this challenge. Habitat changes this.

Our prices are designed to include everything

Permits, unit, site work, installation, appliances, and inspection.

Free property assessment

We’ll save you time and figure out your eligibility to build, the estimated cost, and answer your specific questions.

It takes 1 minute, no strings attached
